À propos de cet audio

A showdown on Mount Carmel. A challenge of fire. And a group of hungry birds watching from above.

Three scrappy buzzards circle the sky, their beady eyes locked onto the scene below. They’ve caught wind of something big—and to them, that means one thing: dinner is coming.

Below, the greatest contest in history is about to unfold. The prophet Elijah stands boldly before the people, challenging the false prophets of Baal to a test. "The God who answers by fire—He is the true God!"

Perched nearby, two ravens—Elijah’s loyal friends—watch with suspicion as the buzzards drop in. They know Queen Jezebel’s prophets are up to no good. But the buzzards? They aren’t interested in prophecies or truth. They have one motto:

“You die, we dine. We clean up the world for dinner!”

The false prophets go first, crying out to Baal, dancing, shouting, even cutting themselves—but nothing happens. No fire. No answer.

Then Elijah steps forward. And just to prove there’s no trickery, he orders water—not once, not twice, but three times—poured over the sacrifice until it’s soaked.

Now, the moment of truth. Will the God of Israel answer? Will the fire fall? Will the buzzards finally get their feast?
