À propos de cet audio
“Webster defines a hero as a mythological or legendary hero of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability. That’s the first definition. There isn’t even an entry for super hero. Not yet. But even if there was one, it would probably be just as bad at informing one about exactly what makes a hero, about the bought lessons and brave daring which are requisites to be one of those individuals rare enough to know both the adoration and fear of the common man. But let me try, if I may, to reveal a time when things were dark, and the lonely, amazing, scarred and incredible individuals that tried to make things a little brighter.”
The time is the 1950s. The city is Galena. The war is over, but a new one is just about to start. Crime is slowly learning organization, and terrorism is a word yet to be coined, but is alive in the minds of spies and saboteurs still seeking to harm America. This is a time before the tights, before the cereal boxes and action figures, but no less a time of front-page feats and back-alley intrigue. This is the Silver Age.
