Rotiaqua was the unwanted daughter of the Baron Reik. Her only crime was being born a woman.
Rotiaqua makes friends with a distant wizard child born of low birth. Her only hope is to form a partnership with the shy farm boy who wields more power than Rotiaqua had ever seen, but his fear of the nobility runs deep and his powers are only just awakened. Together, they must master this new magic or see the dragons die out and the wizards' city destroyed.
