It is Dr. Shafer’s goal to help parents, teachers, and caregivers develop an in-depth knowledge of special education and obtain strategies and talking points so they can actively participate in the decision-making process for their child. Dr. Shafer defines and explores critical issues that the educational system faces as it moves forward as the primary change agent in our world today. Finally, he provides perspective for his listeners to recognize and realize the broad array of experiences and memories that the educational system provided throughout their life span.
