Captain Tee de Klerk, Space Guard, is headed to Europa—It’s a five-year sleep. Someone has already tried to kill him. The splyme organism unlocks vestigial senses in humans unused in eons. Chief among them is the ability to see emotions represented as colors and patterns on living skin. Without the ability to lie or conceal emotions, human society is in danger of serious disruption. The problem is since his cover may already be blown; he is not sure who or what will be waiting for him.
Follow Tee on his 23rd-century odyssey through the solar system, as the trail leads him from the Earth to the Moon, and then on to Europa, and finally the giant smelter station at Jupiter’s LaGrangian point 4. In the process, Tee discovers not only the supply chain, but the grand design of the mysterious quadrillionaire controlling it all.
