I think there are some good moments in the story. Unfortunately, it is 95% about being bipolar and suicidal thoughts. The synopsis is misleading, and could cause damage to the wrong audience.

The story is captivating because of the characterization and pacing. I didn’t find it to be similar to Donna Tart’s The Secret History - although they’re both good Tartt’s has the edge. I liked the fresh perspective of the protagonist. The narrator does the same voice for the RA Nick and the roommate Ellen Stratz (sp?) which I disliked.

Not only a new subject matter but great story! I started, not knowing what I was in for and ended the book with much mire insight and awareness into this mental health area. I plan ti read more.
