Description

When Isaac Bell attempts to decipher the forbidding deaths of nine men, he encounters a secret so powerful it could dictate the fate of the world in this riveting thriller by the number one New York Times best-selling author.

A century apart, NUMA Director Dirk Pitt and detective Isaac Bell team up to unlock the truth about the most famous maritime disaster of all time.

In the present day, Pitt makes a daring rescue from inside an antiquated submersible in the waters off New York City. His reward afterwards is a document left behind a century earlier by legendary detective Isaac Bell - a document that re-opens a historical mystery....

In 1911, in Colorado, Isaac Bell is asked to look into an unexplained tragedy at Little Angel Mine, in which nine people died. His dangerous quest to answer the riddle leads to a larger puzzle centered on byzanium, a rare element with extraordinary powers and of virtually incalculable value. As he discovers that there are people who will do anything to control the substance, Isaac Bell will find out just how far he'll go to stop them.

Nothing New

This is a formula book! Same style of story and plot! I love Scott Brink ! However, he narrates all of Cusslers book so there is no change of tempo or variety! The last two books have been less than expected!

Interesting tale with the usual amount of mayhem.

Scott Brick was a terrific narrator, again. Weaving Pitt into the story was creative. I'm an Isaac Bell fan and definitely enjoyed the tale.

The Titanic Secret

Love Isaac Bell novels. This one was too violent for my taste. Always love the narration by Scott Brick

A solid Entry to the Issac Bell Series

Clive Cussler handles this story like the "Grey Ghost" with his modern characters following one of Issac Bell's cases. In the "Grey Ghost" it was the Fargos this time its Dirk Pitt. Mr Cussler weaves an engaging tale without once breaking the story Dirk believes he knew from "Raise the Titanic"

Disappointing

If you are a fan of Raise the Titanic, you will be disappointed...SPOILER ALERT: this book just expands on the part of the original story of how the ore ended up in the Titanic. No new revelations...just pages and pages of running and gunning that ends up with Brewster in the hold of the Titanic as it sank...disappointing

Three stories in one

Fast moving. Action at every turn. Unable to put it down. One of the bests ever.

Tired

This book wore me out. Too many characters who receive so little description. So many twists, turns, plots, scenes. My head is still spinning. Gentlemen, please don’t try to make a career of one book! Think of us casual readers whose attention span is limited. Scott Brick does his very best at delivery as usual, but, as his name suggests, he must have been sweating bricks at the end of this torturous job.

Gotta Love Isaac Bell

The Isaac Bell stories are my favorite Cussler stories. I love how they are incorporating him into the other character and storylines and hope they continue. I enjoyed hearing this story to see the other side of the Dirk Pitt novel 'Raise the Titanic!'

A long awaited adventure for Issac Bell.

loved this one so much because it took me back to the Chase which I have considered the best hook for the series. I would rate this title #2 in the Issac Bell adventures and one of Cusslers best.
