Twenty-eight years ago, we lost contact with an ill-fated settlement mission to the outer solar system. This mission was to Uranus II...also called Umbriel. Here, on the frozen blue moon circling that distant upside-down world, 58 of our bravest explorers vanished.
What became of those doomed settlers after their final transmission? Why did they abandon the surface and seek refuge underground?
