À propos de cet audio

From the desperation of golden crowns…

Casteel Da’Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could’ve prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.

And born of mortal flesh…

Nothing will stop Poppy from freeing her King and destroying everything the Blood Crown stands for. With the strength of the Primal of Life’s guards behind her, and the support of the wolven, Poppy must convince the Atlantian generals to make war her way—because there can be no retreat this time. Not if she has any hope of building a future where both kingdoms can reside in peace.

A great primal power rises…

Together, Poppy and Casteel must embrace traditions old and new to safeguard those they hold dear—to protect those who cannot defend themselves. But war is only the beginning. Ancient primal powers have already stirred, revealing the horror of what began eons ago. To end what the Blood Queen has begun, Poppy might have to become what she has been prophesied to be—what she fears the most.

As the Harbinger of Death and Destruction.

The story line starts to fall apart in this book. Scenes are patched worked together so severely I kept thinking I somehow skipped ahead in the story. The constant world building and introduction of new characters/ monsters/ beings is getting cumbersome. I haven’t read the physical book but I hope it comes with a map and a “family lineage tree” of sorts. I loved the other books and am still looking forward to the next. I just hope it isn’t written the same way as this one.

1. the most anticipated sex scene, the joining SUUCCKKKEEDDDD. like you've written way better scenes multiple times and dropped the ball on the most important one.
2. the story close to the end just doesn't make sense.
3. the acting is always great, thank you voice actors!

I have no idea wtf is going on. The word choices are juvenile (“naughty bits”?! “Badassery”?!?!). The MMC is reduced to a horny teenager who can’t go two seconds without wanting to finger bang the FMC. The history/mythology/whatever is so convoluted and confusing as if the author was trying to be oh so clever when maybe instead she could’ve been focusing on character development instead of just levelling up the already OP FMC. Poppy’s inner dialogue is extensive and tiresome and annoying. Even in action sequences it’s like we’re pausing to think/talk through her inner thoughts. And the ending. So much “plot” is shoved into just the ending. Nothing happens through the course of 300-400 pages and then a big reveal happens just at the end. It’s disrespectful to the readers. The “witty banter” is embarrassing. Quips about stabbing and burning people and giving the middle finger is so childish for creatures that are hundreds if not thousands of years old. The way the story is formatted in audible doesn’t make sense. This is part 2 of a two parter and it starts with “chapter 1” and chapter 47-end is labeled as “end credits”. Why couldn’t audible just do chapters instead of parts? It makes it difficult to follow along in the book.
