This was fantastic, and it definitely lived up to what I had hoped for. Really well done! Looking forward to the next book.

Wonderful Primer and Very Explicitly Anti-fascist

This book has a lot of really good info but its chapter on runes would be much better in print. The author does spend a large amount of time addressing the struggle against fascism and neo fascist groups today within the Norse Pagan community but this seemed a bit excessive in the amount of space it took up. Still, the author did an excellent job of revealing how a new practitioner could go about developing a religious practice towards norse gods and I would recommend the book to anyone thinking about a more spiritual approach towards the gods.

This book is very interesting and we'll written. The narrator is pretty good even if some old Norse words aren't correctly spelled.

Sadly, in my opinion, the author lost points when plugging some modern era political & trendy issues.
( left vs right and other subjects )

The author talks more about politics than any useful practices for pagans starting out. The statement that being a pagan and having no political view is the same as being a nazi is outlandish. Leave politics out of paganism. Anyone too far left or right has their ideas bleeding all over things it shouldn't. Even the suggested readings in the appendix are all feminism and transgender books. No thank you.

Got this audible hoping it could help supplement the hard copy I already own…I couldn’t even wade through Roger Clark’s performance.
