À propos de cet audio
Days from civilisation five men are about to experience something beyond the rational.
In the snow slaked wilds where the natives fear to tread, these men search for moose but find something more terrifying and supernatural. With a rush of wind and the smell of feral nature one of their number is whisked away, leaving them wondering: Who might be next?

Perhaps Blackwood's most celebrated story, The Willows was influenced heavily by his own trips down the Danube River. It tells the story of two campers who pick the wrong place to sleep for the night, a place where another dimension impinges on our own. H.P. Lovecraft considered this the finest supernatural tale in English literature.

By day, Maeve Fly works at the happiest place in the world as every child’s favorite ice princess. By the neon night glow of the Sunset Strip, Maeve haunts the dive bars with a drink in one hand and a book in the other, imitating her misanthropic literary heroes. But when Gideon Green—her best friend’s brother—moves to town, he awakens something dangerous within her, and the world she knows suddenly shifts beneath her feet. Untethered, Maeve ditches her discontented act and tries on a new persona.

Auteur(s): Dan Simmons
I found it boring. Very little happens and it isn't scary.
it's very short. Maybe it's just outdated, maybe fans of Blackwood's arent accustomed to good writing. I don't know, but I was quite disappointed.
The wordsmith corresponds utilizing location communication for which elis appropriate... Blackwood hits the thesaurus way too hard. To the point that he doesn't use words properly and I'm sure a few were simply made up. It reads like the essay of a high school student who's about 20 words short of the goal.
His descriptions are vague. Settings / items / characters are too often described as being indescribable or incomprehensible. Well this is a book, it relies on the author describing a setting, the characters, events, actions.
No plot develops. No characters develop. No interest is held.
Not as good as I expected
