I'd read this many years ago. Wasn't sure whether to get the audible. Got it. And loved every minute of it. Written with the same brilliance as the Sherlock Holmes stories; but as a historical romance a very different genre. The delightful writing and story was altogether the richer for a marvellous performance. Thank you Audible.

The story is an old favourite of mine for more than 50 years and this is a fantastic reading with each character having just the right sort of voice and accent etc. Wonderful.
