This was such an amazing story! I couldn't go a day without listening and I hung on every word, The writing is so descriptive and colourful I could see everything in my minds eye perfectly. This is now one of my all time favourite books! Highly highly recommend!

What a ride. Where to begin with this review... highly reccomended for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Maria V. Snyder. 


This story perhaps should be called "The Queen of Winter." This is Kham's story of her rise to magnificence (she is also the strongest in will and character of the Seasons in my humble opinion). For as honourable as Wynter is, he is jealous and annoyingly skeptical and borderline over-bearing. Wilson's world and character building is like no other. Gorgeous settings, fierce warriors both male and female, and an endless abundance of emotions and stories melded within these worlds of ice and snow, and fire and storms. 


The narration was a bit flat at times, but good overall.

I’ve never been interested or even thought about ever picking up a romance novel in my entire existence. I came across an incredible review on TikTok and I thought to myself… “There’s no way it’s that good.” When I tell you this book changed me forever… im not joking. This book is like a drug. I am on my second time listening to it and will probably do it again and buy a physical copy, just incase. There is a sequel, but this one has a hold on me that is beyond my understanding. If you’re on the fence, just do it for the plot! I promise! You won’t be disappointed!

If any of these things interest you, you will LOVE this book: Game of Thrones - Jason Momoa and Emilia Clark’s love story, Henry Cavill in the Witcher, the character ‘Storm’ from X-Men, anything including: enemies to lovers trope!
