the characters were well fleshed out abd the storyline was clear. the orator was great at different voices. I only got mixed up a couple times.

Great continuity thru the series

You can close your eyes and imagine yourself there. The descriptions of everything are so vivid. The characters are so intriguing. The humour is awesome. The sarcasm is awesome and it’s unfortunate. The book had to end. I’d like to know what happens after the marriage and Nikki is still alive. It’s been awesome.

The story is quite compelling, though the narrator is so monotonous that I couldn't listen to the book for longer than a half hour at a time. I would highly recommend skipping listening to this book series and just read it.

I listened to the entire series (book 1 - 10) straight through and I was wishing for more. With that style of listening some characters became annoying from time to time and there were occasional predictable plot outcomes within a lot of unpredictable situations. The series was totally worth the listening time if you love some good escapism in your reading. Emma Glass definitely came up with some very creative concepts using tried and true fantasy elements of Witches and Vampires.

I bought the 10 book series for 1 credit on audible. I see many people have complained about the narrator, however, he does get better if you can stick it out until the 4th book.
FYI - This is a basic young adult romance series.
It's mostly about a naive witch and an old vampire - both with an immature view of love and relationship. If you remove all the repetitive narrating, this 10 book series could have been 4 books.
What kept me listening was that the author and narrator kept improving with each book until the last book (10) in this set. The conclusion moved from unsatisfying battle to soap opera finish at the speed of a snail. It was Twilight all over again - but dragged out far too long. So much of this could have been fixed with proper editing.
I found myself cheering for the villain in the end.
The series was left wide open with most strings left unresolved. I won’t be returning to this series.

Ya this is the story you put on if you want to go to sleep. The story skips and parts are missing and the performance well I don’t think you can call it a performance is the most monotone thing I’ve ever heard. Sounds like it’s from a computer.
