Although well read and performed, this book would be more riveting if less predictable. It felt pre-digested. Good idea for a story though, too bad...

I absolutely loved this book. What a diabolically insane plot. Just when you think you know everything there is a new twist. If you are looking for suspense and thrill this book is for you.
I devoured this book and could not put it down.
Amazingly written by this author.
Also amazingly narrated by all the narrators in their character voices. Very well done and took us along on this wonderful journey.

Just what I like - fluff! Not serious literature but entertaining all the same, it was narrated well and kept my attention. You can see the ending a mile off but it was still a pleasurable listen.

Story was good and kept me guessing. For a split second I thought it was someone else (not gonna spoil it!) but it did become predictable. I loved the ending though and how they closed the wall. Awesome!

I hate it when female leads are made defenseless and/or pushovers. Trigger alert: grown woman voicing a child. If you're like me, you will want to skip every time the "daughter" talks lol, not a major problem nor is anything wrong with the voice performance. It's just very cringe to hear an adult voice a child and it kind of brings me back to reality in a bad way if that makes sense.

Fun story at first, easy to figure out who it is once you learn the house's history. It was all going great until you realize the lead, Clara, NEVER stands up for herself. Even when faced with a life threatening situation she kind of just... lets it happen?
There's no fight back, she goes back to her husband's arms despite all the gaslighting, mistrust, micro-cheating and actual cheating... He doesn't even TRY to stay with her when she calls it off and she basically runs to him the moment he shows signs of basic emotion like, idk, feeling worry because his wife and daughter were almost killed??? UGH...
I kept listening thinking the moment would come when she would do something about it and it never did.

I won't necessarily say DON'T LISTEN TO IT, buuuut if you want a fantastic, bad ass female lead, this ain't it.

I liked how I didn’t really know who the villain was until the end. I can understand how the wife could have spiraled out of control mentally. It was a great book, one of the fastest books I have consumed
