Description

From New York Times best-selling author of the “twisty-mystery” (Vulture) novel In a Dark, Dark Wood, comes The Woman in Cabin 10, an equally suspenseful and haunting novel from Ruth Ware - this time, set at sea.

In this tightly wound, enthralling story reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s works, Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for - and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong....

With surprising twists, spine-tingling turns, and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up another taut and intense audiobook in The Woman in Cabin 10 - one that will leave even the most sure-footed listener restlessly uneasy long after the last page is turned.

My first Ruth Ware book - It did not disappoint!

This was my first book from Ruth Wares. It was an interesting premise and I was definitely intrigued throughout. I very much enjoyed the writing style with the sporadic news reports. This was definitely a book that kept me guessing all the way through. I thought there might have been some sort of connection to the two different burglaries that were referenced, but nothing came of that- Maybe that was the point? To keep us guessing? It worked.
The most satisfying part of the book: “Is it the transaction with the reference “tiggers bounce”” 👌🏻 3.5 Stars!

Woman in Cabin 10

I enjoyed listening to this book. It kept me riveted mostly through the whole book. The twists and turns the story made kept me thinking if what happened. The author did a great job

Not as good as I hoped it would be.

I am a very big fan but I found this one lacked the imagination and plot line

It was alright

It was alright, not very exciting or thrilling. Not something I'd recommend but not a book I regret purchasing either.

Strong story, weak ending

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the twists and the characters. I did not enjoy the last few pages and found them to be confusing. The ending would have been stronger with out them.

Still worth the read.

Not Bad But Not Great

It's a slow read. I had a hard time getting to the end, not sure if it was just the story itself or the tone it was read in, but overall I found myself bored with it.
