amazing

lots to take in. Great stories. Very easy to listen to good voice quality. A little out of my league to due. There's nothing on repair for pain.

You can get the good info on his website

Cool tips on exercise but seems like you can that on his website. All the rest is overly figurative language with too many metaphors for every single thing.

Fantastic information

As the world gets more and more complicated, with fitness and diet fads and “studies” sponsored by big businesses created to confuse everyone further, this book cuts through them all. Ross gives us a great foundation to work with no matter what your fitness goals are. This book focuses on science, and is told using amazing personal anecdotes among Ross’s impressive feats of super human fitness.

Worth it!

A very well done, the combination of Ross Edgely's experience and knowledge combined with excellent writing and adventures from the edges of fitness provide not only a comprehensive introduction to athleticism, but is also worth reading for the more experienced among us. A must read for anyone who is into fitness!

Must listen

This book was more than I thought it would be and I will definitely listen it through again. For anyone wanting to start a healthier life or improve aspects of there already healthy life this book will help you take things into your own hands and do it!

Good Refresher and some nice motivation

I enjoy Ross' delivery, and it's fun to listen to his stories in his own voice. I now have dreams of spending a month in the Lake District perfecting my fell running. Much of the health, fitness, and nutrition information wasn't new to me, but it was a great refresher. This book was exactly what I needed to fire up my motivation to tackle some big goals (thanks, Ross!). I look forward to his next publication. In the meantime - there is work to do!!

must read/listen

lots of useful tips and advice, plus great stories as well. From nutrition, strength training, cardio all brought together by very well told personal experiences, this book has it all.

Ok listen. More adventure than information

The world's most 'less than mediocre' book

I really want to like this book. But it's really bad. It starts hopeful, when he says what he thinks is wrong with fitness magazines. They promise things that aren't realistic, they use cheap slogans etc. etc.
Here is the thing. The subtitle of the book 'promises' to be x% better in this and that. Well that's not true.
It's just a blatant lie.
1. Literally the only thing he mentions about endurance and running is to not heel strike.
2. He mentions random scientific articles.
3. Random recipes. Seriously 10 min long he talks about how to BBQ a steak. Nothing more.
4. Offers some random programs that suit everyone yet at the same time nobody.
5. Every few minutes he mentions his website which is almost completely a bunch of ads.
6. Uses this 'book' to promote his company.
6a. Here is the 'fun' part. While bashing highly processed foods he forgets that is the thing exactly what he sales on his site.
7. Every story chapter is the same 'here I am, totally out of place
8. Just like all those instagram and fb accounts... just cite either Buddha, Einstein or Emerson every now and then.
Ah well.. this list goes on and on.
This would have been nice as a blog or something. Bro science...
But if you've read my review you probably come to the conclusion this book is precisely what he bashes at the beginning. A fitness magazine.

Better Book Than Audiobook

Some chapters were informative and interesting, others were Ross reading recipes for 20 minutes. Overall I enjoyed the book, but it feels like it didn't translate well into an audiobook.

What’s Not to Like!

This is my second Ross Edgley audiobook and it did not disappoint. I probably would even enjoy Ross narrating a cookbook he wrote— between the science, facts, improbable situations he gets into, his self-deprecating humor, and his commitment to his fitness, his work provides knowledge while having a laughing good time.

A necessary read for those even remotely interested in personal fitness

Ross Edgley has written something truly special here. Within these pages is a profound knowledge of fitness which will allow anyone, whether they are veteran athletes or day one beginners, to learn a great deal. This is the type of book you can read over and over again and learn something new each and every time. I highly recommend it.

this was a fitness Bible

this book was beyond motivational knowledge packed, and I dare say a guideline or as close to a fitness Bible. I still have much to learn and have not read much as I should but I must say this left a deep impression on me and anyone seeking and fit healthy life should read this along with limitless Spirit soul and body
