Description

This audiobook includes the entire Zulu Virus Chronicles series in one boxset. Tons of chilling, post-apocalyptic thriller action and suspense.

Something insidious has arrived - right in the heartland of our nation, turning neighbor against neighbor!.

Dr. Lauren Hale, a new hospital resident, is nearly killed by a raving mad emergency room patient, in a senseless, unprovoked attack.

Officer David Olson, veteran cop and former Marine, returns from a father-son camping trip to discover that his ex-wife has vanished under bizarre circumstances, and his police department is on the verge of collapse.

Jack and Emma Harper, a young, upwardly mobile couple, find their hip city neighborhood rapidly descending into madness.

Dr. Eugene Chang, a research scientist for a major pharmaceutical company, makes a shocking discovery that might explain the spreading wave of illness and violence gripping the city. Eric Larsen, leader of a top-secret, rapid-response unit, circles high above the Midwest, in an unmarked military transport. Mission still unknown, his team waits to parachute into the night.

Within 24 hours, complete strangers from different walks of life will be forced to join together to survive the living nightmare that has been unleashed on their city - and their country.

This is their story.

Welcome to the Zulu Virus Chronicles!

Good story, HORRIBLE narration

The story is very good, I’m enjoying it through two books so far. BUT..... the narration is ridiculous. The guy reading the story gives characters voices that are a cross between extreme stereotypes and Sesame Street characters. I was fighting to pay attention to the content of the story in spite of the narration. It’s really that bad. He narrates a 17 year old kid as though he were 12, and he makes another character sound like Kermit the Frog. There’s a military character named Ochoa that he makes sound like a member of MS-13. Just because the guy has a Latino last name doesn’t mean he has to have an extremely stereotypical accent. If you can find a version that doesn’t not have Charles Hubbell as narrator, I would recommend it.

another great series

I love this author so much! he writes some very good, action packed, great imagery, awesome storytelling/plots, books ! I only hate it when the series ends bc I always feel connected to the families & characters , and feel like I come out of a distant land away from home/reality. I laugh so hard, get so upset, & just enjoy thoroughly everything hes written so far. please keep it up - you have gained another fan!!!

just ok

this book started out good but it got really slow in spots. I was ready for it to end by the middle of the second book. Narrator had a nice voice, but the accents he chose were strange. Hard to sometimes figure out who was talking. considering to send this back.

Horrible Narrator

The story line was okay and the writing was good, but I could not get into the books due to the horrible narration. It was extremely distracting. The narrator used almost cartoon character voices in what should be a serious novel. For example, he made a young married couple in the city sound like they were 60 year old county folk while alternatively making an older character sound young and strong. He also used extremely stereotypical accents based on the characters last name. I probably would have finished all three books if another narrator was used however I only made it through the first and had to quit. I really want my money back on this one. I will make sure to never buy another book with this narrator.

great series

Konkoly is so good at this Genre it's scary. I am glad I got this as a box set though because the cliff hangers would have killed me if I would have purchased them one at a time.

Get to the point!

I'm well into the second book in this trilogy and am exhausted with all the military, shoot-'em-up action. I thought this was going to be much more thoughtful or at least much more centered on a virus plot line. I'm returning it.

good but not as good as perseid.

enjoyed the book. being a medical professional myself, that part needed some work, especially in the beginning with hospital response to an outbreak. also the characters weren't quite as real as they seem to be in some of the authors other works. it is still a great book series and I would recommend it.

Get's you thinking

Definitely kept my interest. Enough detail, but not too much. Looking forward to the next one.

Draws on

I liked the first novel. But the storyline was murky there on. Interesting read nonetheless.
