Description

From USA Today bestselling author Rochelle B. Weinstein comes a moving novel of hearts lost and found, and of one woman torn between two love stories.

When Charlotte and Philip meet, the pair form a deep and instant connection. Soon they’re settled in the Florida Keys with plans to marry. But just as they should be getting closer, Charlotte feels Philip slipping away.

Second-guessing their love is something Charlotte never imagined, but with Philip’s excessive absences, she finds herself yearning for more. When she meets Ben, she ignores the pull, but the supportive single dad is there for her in ways she never knew she desired. Soon Charlotte finds herself torn between the love she thought she wanted and the one she knows she needs.

As a hurricane passes through Islamorada, stunning revelations challenge Charlotte’s loyalties and upend her life. Forced to reexamine the choices she’s made, and has yet to make, Charlotte embarks on an emotional journey of friendship, love, and sacrifice - knowing that forgiveness is a gift, and the best-laid plans can change in a heartbeat.

This Is Not How It Ends is a tender, moving story of heartbreak and healing that asks the question: Which takes more courage - holding on or letting go?

So. Utterly. Boring.

I won't even finish it. I am 5 hours in and it's painful. Absolutely nothing gripping or interesting. Don't waste your credit.

Not bad

Not my type of book, but not bad. I'm not sold on the performance, sometimes a bit too whiny for me. Again, it's not my genre so to be fair, it's a good book.

Predictable

Although I do like a good love story now and then I found this book lacked imagination. I knew what was going to happen and I enjoy a surprise. No surprises here.

Tear jerker

I loved this story even though it was very unrealistic. More fantasy than anything that could really happen

Whine, Whine Whine

Hours of whining, crying, shoot yourself in the foot behavior by the Main character. Awful. Hurt everyone. The ending, too little too late. Should of ended much sooner. Don’t put yourself through it! Do not recommend.

Close to tears

Not your typical cheesy love story. Very intriguing plot that occasionally had me close to tears.

Emotional roller coaster

Interesting characters in a story about the struggle to end up with a big enough love. I have a feeling this one is a different listen than it would be to read. The narrator for one of the main male keads was older/more stoic than it would read which changed the story for me. Tension is created by the main female seeming to walk away from happiness.

Too much whining!!!!

This was ridiculously long and way too much whining. Rarely do I not enjoy most of a book but not this one.

No, because it should have ended before it even began

I gave performance three stars because of the narrator; poor girl had to read that trash out loud. And, overall it got two stars only because of the narration and perhaps the first chapter of the book. It was the most trite story I’ve read/listened to in a long time. I teach high school English and have read and taught Romeo and Juliet at the very least 30 times, and it’s still never boring even if it’s based on one of the most common love story literary constructs. I won’t say any more than
that because I don’t want to ruin the story for those who want to read it, but trust me, it does a good job of ruining all by itself. I suppose if you liked 50 shades of puke, oh I’m sorry, I meant Fifty Shades of Grey without all the pornography- then this book is for you.

Irritating at times!

the storyline of this book was good. The main character was somewhat miserable through most of the book and didn't speak her mind which could quite irritate someone reading it. It was somewhat predictable but I would say the book was not terrible and for the money it kept me entertained. I was very happy at the ending although it was predictable again. the lady who read the book on audible I thought did an amazing job!!

Don’t bother

The story line just kept abruptly switching directions like the author would write for a while then stop and start again months later without recalling what she had already written. Really not worth reading.
