À propos de cet audio
Life can change in a flash. Marriage and a baby wasn’t Amy Forsythe’s college plan. After a shotgun marriage glued together by her son, she’s convinced that love isn’t meant for her. Now nearing 40 and single for the first time since her senior prom, her friends are pushing her to date. Her teenager isn’t thrilled by the idea and neither is Amy.
Silver fox Thomas Popov isn’t looking for "the one". He found her decades ago. And fell apart when she died. At 53 with a new job, a new city, and an empty nest, he’s focused on climbing the corporate ladder.
When a softball accident lands Thomas in Amy’s dental chair, sparks fly. Lightning doesn’t strike twice. But love might. This time is different.

Love that the H is 53 and the h is 39.
It's lovely to have a romance that develops normally with believable dialogue and relationship 'things' they work through at a seemingly natural pace... extended family and children included in the stories layers.
This is not a dramatic, angsty read... but a warm organic romance that gives all the feels with just enough spice to make it really enjoyable.
such a beautiful love story

This Time is Different was made for me by Sebastian York and Emma Wilder. I have read several Mae Wood books but this was my first listen to one of her books on audio. It is a wonderful story of a second chance for love for both main characters Thomas and Amy.
Thomas lost his wife 8 years ago and has been busy not just raising his three children but making sure he makes it through each day. Amy have been divorced for a few years now from her husband Bert (Plus One) and they split custody of their son Grady.
Thomas and Amy meet after Thomas is hit in the face with a bat at a baseball game after he is taken to an emergency orthodontist, Amy, to make sure he is ok. Filled up on pain killers he babble on about Dr. Angel Dentist (Amy) and how she is perfect. Once he has his wits about him, he asks Amy out for dinner, which turns into another dinner and so on. Neither Thomas or Amy are looking for a second marriage, but they do have chemistry.
While navigating grown children, work issues, family issues and discovering feeling neither of them thought they would have again Mae Wood has shown us after 40 there is love.
Mae Wood has written a lovely, engaging story of two people who have had their families and have raised between them 4 children and have now found someone they are not only attracted to but who it ends up they can have a wonderful new life with. Choosing Sebastian York and Emma Wilder to tell this story is the icing on the cake of a beautiful love story. Now that I own the audiobook, I think it's time to purchase the book itself and read it again, rocking in a cozy rocking chair on the porch with several glasses of ice tea, feeling like I'm in Memphis during the summer, reliving Thomas and Amy's story again.
Excellent story!
