Thomas Paine was one of the greatest political propagandists in history. The Rights of Man, first published in 1791, is the key to his reputation. Rights of Man...so constantly ignored

Should be required reading, along with Paine's other works, to see how those in power who often quote him, do also do their best to deny us the Rights of Man.
