Truly there was a lot of blood in this work of Josephus. I want to listen to it again in the future. The Roman's pictured here were greedy and paranoid really afraid of losing their reign, but I guess that was part of what made them such a formidable force. There isn't much of Old Testament and little is said of John the Baptist or Jesus, but he does affirm that Jesus rose from the dead. A great deal is given about the war against the Jews and the destruction Jerusalem. I am very pleased that I listened to this book and highly recommend it for a quick overview of a lot of history.
