While I did enjoy this story I found it less funny than they implied it was in the reviews. I wasn’t ok with how the main heroine put her body down throughout the storyline.
Happy that the heroine is not a child.
There was way more emphasis on the possible “love interest” than the main character.

I was hoping I’d like this book/series. It’s based in Canada and the main character is a mature woman. But the narrator is pretty bad. She sounds inexperienced and her accents are cringy. Her various character voices are grating. I don’t think the writing is very good either. It lacks detail, as situations would arise out of the blue, mid-sentence, and I’d have to rewind to see if I missed something leading up to it.
I don’t think I’ll finish book 1.
