À propos de cet audio
I crossed paths with a smart, independent girl from California who simply disappeared after attending a spiritual retreat on "living and dying" in a remote Indian village in the mystical Himalayas. Only she can find and save herself. Taking on a totally different journey, from the very same retreat, I drop my identity and travel through the exotic east Asia anonymously. I’m on my own search. The occasional dreams, though, keep her alive inside me.
This is a story of two contrasting, adventurous journeys—in the world and in the wild—through geographic, emotional, and spiritual exotic landscapes.
The journey, triggered by questions of life and death which question established beliefs, ponder the idea of what spirituality is. Like the men of salt who wanted to measure the depth of the ocean, the only way to know is to dive in knowing one will melt and disappear into the ocean (to be harvested back into the salt again?).
You can also say it is a collection of love stories within a love story that breaks the boundaries, barriers, and definitions of the limited idea of what love is. It is about paths that do not end with experiences until one realizes that it is all but play, and drops the idea of an end.
Note: The book is narrated by author himself and has an accent of South Indian English.
