I really enjoyed listening to this book. The story, although heartbreaking at times is very engaging and kept me wanting more. I will definitely seek out more from this author.

My first time reading this author and loved the performance and the story. Will be reading more of her books. The story ( the crime told was horrific) the story managed to strike a balance between humanizing the violence linking its impact with the courtroom drama and detailing the toll on all involved. Loved her personal story.

Not really captivating premise and I didn’t really connect with the characters. The narrator did a good job and the stories pace moved along at an entertaining rate.

I was looking for a simple easy to listen to book after several heavy non fiction reads. This was a fairly standard courtroom drama with its own twists to keep my interest. A bit syrupy in places but I’d recommend it.

Way too much time spent on the protagonist’s marriage problems. The author is apparently a legal professional, with over 20 years experience, yet created a plot that was derivative and the writing was pedestrian. Reviews are subjective, but I listen to a lot of content I this category, and I won’t be returning to this series or author.
