Description
1450s France. A young Englishman, Tom Swan, is kneeling in the dirt, waiting to be killed by the French who have taken him captive.

Excellent
This audiobook is long overdue, Tom swan is a grand adventure full of intrigue, action and attention to historical details. I can’t wait for the rest of them to be released in audio.

Renaissance era spy thriller!
Tom Swan is a great novella series that I'm very happy to revisit in audio. I have a deep fondness in my heart for the scapegrace Tom Swan. The author does a wonderful job at making the cities of the past feel alive and filled with the detail of how the world worked.
An easy series to binge through!

An excellent swashbuckling, cloak and dagger romp!
I loved it, Tom Swan has it all. Action, daring-do, daggers in the dark and forbidden love affairs.
Born the Bastard son of a bastard son young Tom Swan is rescued from certain death by a down on his luck Cardinal who drafts the quick witted boy-rogue into a life of holy thievery.
Coming to manhood against the backdrop of the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks Tom survives trial and tribulation to swipe priceless Christian relics, kiss beautiful women and skirt the edge of reckless abandon with his many many feuds.

Quick paced action adventure
Treasure!
The author is a real lover of history and his knowledge of the time period practically drips from the pages.
CONS:
Some characters fall a little flat or feel 2 dimensional
Every beautiful woman Tom meets inevitably cannot resist his wit and charm. It's charming at first but starts to wear a little thin.
