À propos de cet audio

Fear of death never stopped Aaron from doing something dangerous. Now actual death can't either.

Aaron was always a bit of a daredevil. Motorcycles, cave diving, bungee jumping, sky diving... You name it, and if it was dangerous, Aaron was there. Then, his entire universe got pulled into a System-managed multiverse.

He was skydiving at the time he was pulled into the Tutorial, so instead of getting a peaceful introduction to the System, he went splat and instantly died. Taking pity on him, the goddess in charge of his Tutorial resurrected him, but due to System restrictions, there was only one place she could send him: The Shadow Trials.

Now, stuck in a special dimension designed for the prodigies of each new universe, Aaron has to find a way to survive and grow stronger while starting from level 1. His only saving grace is that in the Shadow Trials, he revives every time he dies. And he's going to abuse that as much as he can to grow strong.

Perfect for fans of Primal Hunter, Defiance of the Fall, Stubborn Skill Grinder in a Time Loop

To each their own,I'll list my gripes in paragraph 2 and hopefully someone will have to 'show more' to read them so my issues aren't front and center. I'm sure everything I dislike about this book could be what someone else loves, although, I do think a 10 minute preview would have changed things greatly. After the first 4 minutes the book settles into what it is for the remainder of the listen.

My problems with the book. There's no story, no stakes, no growth (number goes up but nothing else,) no interesting characters, the MC has no character besides someone told him no once and he wont take no for an answer. The lack of story REALLY hurts here, if life and lack thereof is removed as a pillar to hang the stakes of success and failure, you need a strong story that can be progressed (like in the stories mentioned in this books blurb) and there's none at all. It seems like every character except 1 is put in the story solely to be a foil and irritate the MC, Douglas is more than enough.
