I love this story. It may have been written for young boys but it will entertain all ages and genders. Long John Silver has become the pattern for almost every pirate since and it's easy to understand why. He's the bad guy that you can't help rooting for.

Alfred Molina nails this performance. He gives a different voice for each principle character and maintains that voice for the whole book. None of them seem artificial or forced. He does his job so well that you soon forget anyone is reading it, you're in the story itself.

The quality of the recording was good, no popping sounds like some others experienced.
