In business, the right behaviors matter. But getting it right is tricky. Even when we acknowledge the need to change what we do and how we do it, life has a habit of getting in the way, upsetting even the best-laid plans. And just how do we manage those situations that can provoke even the most rational among us into behaving in ways we would rather forget?

We live in a hierarchical world where experience has traditionally been the key to promotion. But that period is over! Straight, clear-cut career trajectories no longer exist. Industries disappear, job descriptions change, and people's interests and passions evolve. The key to riding this wave, entrepreneur James Altucher advises, is to constantly be curious about what's next, to be comfortable with uncertainty so you can keep navigating the rough waters ahead, and most importantly, to pursue the things that interest you.

Histoire
Welcome to the summer of 1985 in Philadelphia, when the city was rocked—in almost every sense of the word—by two unprecedented events: Mayor W. Wilson Goode’s May 13 decision to bomb the headquarters of MOVE, a controversial Philadelphia-based radical communal organization, and the July 13 Live Aid concert, where international rock royalty convened in Philly to raise money for victims of the Ethiopian famine. Separated by just two months and eight miles, these events would showcase both the best and the worst of the so-called City of Brotherly Love.

Description
Jay Glazer—a top NFL insider on Fox NFL Sunday, an MMA coach, actor, and a veteran advocate and founder of MVP (Merging Vets and Players)—offers honest, in your face advice and insights gleaned from his fight through depression and anxiety, his successful careers in NFL journalism and business, as well as his work with military vets struggling with PTSD; the result is a relentless, unapologetic, and no-nonsense approach to overcoming your self-doubts, fears, and excuses… with the goal of becoming Unbreakable.
In Unbreakable, Jay Glazer talks directly to you, his teammates, and shares his truth. All the success from his screeching-and-swerving joy ride through professional football, the media, the MMA fighting world, Hollywood, the military-warrior community, comes with a side of relentless depression and anxiety. Living in the gray, as Jay calls it, is just a constant for him. And, in order to work through and work better, Jay knows he has to keep going, to be of service, to believe in himself when no one else will, and be stronger, tougher, and more dedicated than anyone. Unbreakable is his story of how he has done this in all of his many endeavors—a relentless insider who won’t quit talking or take his foot off the gas, whether detailing how he got his big break inside the NFL (it involves a friendship with Michael Strahan that seems too unlikely even for Hollywood) or helping veterans fight for their lives in gyms around the country or playing himself on the hit show Ballers, Jay’s ability to laugh at himself and take on his mental struggles has given him a clarity, toughness, and openness that few people can rival.
Throughout Unbreakable, Jay will use his stories—featuring some of the biggest, baddest, and most fascinating characters in the public eye today—to tackle the toughest subjects by making you laugh. He will also use them as motivation to outline a prescriptive plan for you to get to the top of your game, whatever your game is, and to stop making excuses. He will show you how to use your insecurities, your own battles with mental health, to get where you need to go, scars and all.
Especially scars and all.

Thank you Teammate I too am Unbreakable
I’m So blessed to have lived through all kinds of fucked up Ness. I not only did not break, that doesn’t mean I don’t have scars, but I realized today I am totally on fucking breakable. I’ve already shared this amazing book with two retired chiefs in the United States Air Force and I just finished it today. I’m a therapist embedded in Security Forces and I never really belong anywhere I’ve been placed. I know now I was exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’ve always known that. I’ve been sober 35 years. I was a widow just seven hours after my wedding. Then I had my daughters 20th birthday at her funeral. All of these fucked up happenings just made me fight the gray all the more. You have just validated me to such a huge extent. I want to share this and I want to make this the next part of my purpose. My next mountain to conquer is to find out how to become part of your team. HUA!

I thought Jay did a good job of telling his story. It's good to get a different perspective on how people deal with our down sides, to help us know that we are not alone with the feelings we have. thank you Jay for sharing your perspective.
