In the woods where human lands meet fae, an ancient king born before the history of men finds a dying baby.

An endearing cast of characters, a compelling story, and a riveting mystery, topped with an absolutely stellar performance, I couldn't put it down. While it did feel slow at times, the story is well paced, and every moment, no matter if it was action packed or a somber scene, gave a much needed view into the lives of the characters and how they learn and grow. Emily McCosh didn't just write a beautiful novel, she painted a masterful work of art, a symphony to make the greatest composers proud.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this story up but I am so glad I gave it a change. it's such a gentle, beautiful story. The pacing is slow but perfect for the setting and perfect for a satisfying atmospheric read/expirience. I recomend to.every fairy tale lover, or to any one needing a more gentle yes still satisfying escape.
