Feeling a bit weary of summer romances but still wanting something seasonal, I found this one in the free catalogue and I'm glad I listened to it. I was weirdly mesmerized by the events taking place at this fictional resort, and by the characters who were both unsympathetic and relatable at the same time.

Ending is not good. I was disappointed with this book. It was intriguing in the beginning then wrapped up quickly with unanswered questions. Unless I missed something I don’t recommend.

this book is a mirror of how sad our society has become filming and documenting every piece of life online leaving nothing private. exploting family for cloute, likes and attention. i enjoyed this book but at times i found the narrator a bit much. the ending shocked me but at the same did not surprise me.

I rarely write reviews, but this book sparked such a lively discussion between my husband and adult son that it continued long after we finished reading. It’s a well-crafted mystery that not only keeps you guessing but also prompts you to reflect on your own social media habits. The story shines a thoughtful light on the neurodivergent community, encourages reflection on morals and ethics, and raises important questions about cultural appropriation.

The book was fantastic - I binged it over the course of a weekend. As interesting as the story was, I think it was the narration that really wowed me the most.

Incredible Narrator

Minimal use of profanity and negligable amount of sensual content allows this story to be applicable to a larger audience. The message of our current societal state is an eye opener. I definitely took a few notes on parenting and being in the present. However the traumatic part of the storyline may be tough for some audiences.

Not great, not terrible…the kind of book that you can definitely do three things at the same time whilst listening and still follow the unimaginative plot. This book will accomplish one thing though; it will deepen a dislike and disdain of “ influencers” and their constant need to be “liked” .

Kind of shallow plot

The main characters are horrible people who you don’t sympathize with. I couldn’t listen after chapter 7. The unrealistic portrayal of parents of a neurodivergent child and about the child itself are old ideas and out of touch with reality. The narrator did well with a poor story.
