À propos de cet audio

Earth has less than two per cent of its population remaining. All large towns and cities have completely disappeared from existence, leaving behind the impenetrable translucent barriers that made this possible.

The survivors of the invasion now share the planet with two alien species, the Guardians and the Ormsayer. The former have been here for as long as the human race has existed, monitoring the progress of the planet and its inhabitants. The latter arrived as an invading force and considered humans a food source – their only food source.

In some areas people banded together to create new communities that function cooperatively in an effort to recreate what had been lost. In other areas they became outlaw groups intent upon survival at the expense of others. Stranger still is the community that flourishes under the leadership of one of the alien invaders.

Andrew Barr, having ensured the safety of the friends he met at the beginning of the invasion must now attempt what most consider an impossible journey to confirm the survival of what remains of his own family.

To achieve his aim, he will have to travel thousands of kilometres on foot, find a way across the English channel, avoid alien barriers, alien hunters and perhaps the most dangerous creatures of them all, human beings.
