This story surprised me. I loved this story. An arranged marriage to Catalina's sister, and the day of the wedding, she runs away. For years, Catalina and her mother endured relentless abuse from her father until he ultimately took her mother's life, placing the blame on her. She plans on running away once her sister is married.
She is forced to marry Sereru to save her runaway sister from her father and Sereru. They both have feelings for each other, and the struggles are amazing. She is stronger than any of them realize and surprises him with her strength, making him fall in love even though he doesn't say it.
There is a traitor in the mist, and finding out brings conflict within the family. Her strength to stand up to him as well as protects him and the family makes this an amazing story.
