À propos de cet audio

A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Audiobook

Ushoran, the Carrion King. Paragon of majesty, ravening abomination. His curse – to perceive the grimdark Mortal Realms as a chivalric kingdom, and himself, not as a twisted monstrosity, but as an exemplar of kings. Before him scuttle the horrors of his brood – the ghoul courts – spreading their deluded taint.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Is madness the only way to defeat madness? Discover the utter terror of facing the Mortarch of Delusion and his twisted cannibalistic minions in a twisting, turning tale of obsession.

THE STORY

For generations, the people of the Howling Vale have fought against this madness, largely in vain. Now, Kosomir Vornarov, the city’s Master Patriarch, risks everything – his reputation, friends, even his people’s survival – to destroy the flesh-eater menace entirely and forge a brighter future in his name.

Two ambitious lords, two haunted souls. Whose madness will prove the stronger?

Written by Dale Lucas. Narrated by Richard Reed. Runtime 8 hours and 51 minutes approx.

Ushoran himself is a very likeable character in this book and as a fan of Flesh-Eater Courts on the tabletop I thought that Ushoran and his court were very well realized in this book.

The human characters are also very well done and the Patriarch’s slow descent into madness and paranoia were compelling to read.

The voice acting was also top notch in my opinion.

The minor criticisms I do have about the book come down to very minor dialogue choices for some of the minor characters were some of the ghouls seem to be more aware of their nature than lore typically describes. I can not stress how minor this is though.

Overall a great book and one that I will certainly re-listen to while painting my Flesh Eater Courts minis.

Great novel with Flesh Eater protagonist

The story starts out well but about half way plot holes start to open up. From there is seems like some interesting scenes are being set up, which are then quickly resolved and the story moves on. Almost as if the book was supposed to be longer but was edited down to its current version.

Felt Kind of Rushed
