This is my first book by this author and I loved it! The storyline was great! It had everything from angst to swoon-worthy moments! My heart fluttered once the hero finally gave in to the love of his life. Highly recommended listen!

The narrators did an amazing job with the characters. Don’t know what else to say about this but for you to give it a listen. Worth the credit!

The story was a fantastic mix of push pull in a realistic way. I love everything about it except for Savannah Peachwood. She read the story in a way that was too breathy and overly dramatic. When she first started reading I had to turn the volume way up because of the breathy/whispery way she spoke. I also found it a bit annoying that she was supposed to have a southern accent but Christian Rummel used more of a southern accent for millie when reading her parts.

Overall I loved this story and absolutely devoured it but could have been better with a better female narrator.

This book was my introduction to L. J. Sheen via audiobook and I really did enjoy it.
This boy/man knew nothing about love and caring for a person but deep down inside, something must have woken up some level of feeling because he poked that girl again and again and if you’ve spent enough time around high school students that boy had a crush and didn’t even know it. Savannah Peachwood and Christian Rummel did an excellent job with the slow burning heat that smouldered in these characters. The innuendo, the push and pull in the story! Perfect! I found it really enjoyable and I am sure I will listen to it again.

I read all the reviews for this book and got the feeling that I would either love it or hate it since the majority of the reviews seemed to be very divided. I could see how others liked this book but it just wasn’t for me. The story was interesting and unpredictable but didn’t keep my attention. I found the MMCs sudden change of heart completely unrealistic and his misogyny and treatment of people was such a huge turn off. I had zero heart for this character. Also, I found the performance of the FMC to be annoying and overly performative.

The whispy, breathy female narrator voice just ruined this audio book. She always sounded in a state of breathy fright…I could not keep listening after an hour.
