This book had a lot more character too than a lot of other books of this type. I enjoyed it a lot off to the next one!

The narrator has a bit of a lisp and sometimes her characters sound like someone else. But her characters are such CHARACTERS, you know? Good book. Good narration. I already got book 2 and am going to start it right away.

A good listen

It's a bit dark, the mood is always a feeling of being too weak to fight against some bully or abuser. It's mostly just a series of trauma and abuse that puts the main character through hell, but it also gives her a really powerful sense of justice that sucks you in.

There's also a lot of original and interesting concepts and ideas which I love. Mind control slimes, mysterious floating island universe, and interdimentional magic tentacle monsters for some.

The end of the series is a bit disappointing and anticlimactic, feeling rushed, but not bad by any means, and is, at least, appropriate for the theme.

No complaints about the narrator either, though the narrator changing by book 4 takes a bit to get used to.

This Series is Amazing.

The writing is pretty much flawless. The characters are very likable. There is simply nothing to critique in this aspect of the book. What I don't like is the overall plot where the MC is under constant threat of religious procecution so there are a lot of drama revolving around hiding her powers
