Vine Street: What Lies on the Rooftops? is the second book in the Vine Street series. The story takes place one year later, in the summer of 1979. The young boy that listeners met in Book 1 is still having run-ins with the groundskeeper of an old radio station at the ballpark where the boy plays baseball in South Jersey. But the question from last summer remains: Is this real, or is it all a dream? Events take an even darker turn than the previous summer. Kids are disappearing. And now there are so many more people involved that the young boy has a hard time determining who exactly is the bad guy. Is it the groundskeeper? Or is it someone else?
