À propos de cet audio
Throughout the Word lists of names are written in remembrance. Turn to the first chapter of the Gospel of Matthew. The Gospel of Matthew begins by listing the names. They are written, a voicing, an acknowledgement of who they are were and are. They communicate the ancestry and descendants of Jesus. Turn to 1 Chronicles. Chapters one through nine list the linages that precedes and is in alignment with the Gospel of Matthew.
For years I read through the Bible in its entirety after being challenged by our group leader on my first mission trip to Haiti. During these readings I glossed over even skipped reading through the entire list. Then one year I chose to read each name no matter what. In reading each name I found the names of the women I had never heard about in the pulpit, or in Bible studies. It was as if I had been drifting along in my reading the Bible and finally washed up on the shores of salvation. Thus, I began my voyage in the calling of the names of the women of the Word. Please join me in calling these names of women who are rarely read or spoken out loud. McEwen, R. V. (2025). Wade with the Women of the Word: Blue Papyrus Rebekah. Ann Arbor: Amazon.
