The title and description sounded like a fun steamy story but it fell very flat. It started out okay but then I really struggled to continue listening. It's the first book that made me consider asking for a refund. It was cliché, predictable and utterly unbelievable in many situations. I could elaborate but there'd be too many spoilers. What I hated the most was they took a sexy guy and emasculated him into someone who couldn't even speak up to defend himself. Also, I don't think the narrator was well matched to the character either, she sounded much older. Combine that with the real life references in the book and I was expecting the character to be in her 40's. I was so blown away when their ages were revealed I had to check the year it was published. There was so much potential but it left me so disappointed.

I purchased this book because it was on a top 20 romance novels list from good reads. 1/2 of the books on the list I have read and they were amazing, so I thought I’d try this one. Disappointed. The narrator is not good..which can make or break an audible book. The writing was definitely horrible too, so the narrator didn’t have a chance. I rolled my eyes so many times listening to this book and I really tried to finish it.. just couldn’t do it.
