Robotic reading

I really love this Warrior cat series. But most of them are read and performed by my MacLeod Andrews. He does a wonderful job of the reading and the characters with All the voices. The guy who reads this one is very robotic in his reading. The performance is subpar for sure.

another good warriors story

Good story but the change in narration was jarring especially Jayfeather's accent - suddenly British?

so boring

this book could be skipped. its basically Bramblestar worrying about what Firestar would do for 34 chapters

Well…

Blood in Water prophecy…. Unclear.
I liked Jesse and Minty…
Jay Feather, my gravelly, whiny, genuine super character, what happened? This book turned you into a pasty, pretentious, stodgy, unrelatable character who sounded nothing like his siblings. How sad!
Narrator…Sorry Kirby, it’s a NO!
********
Now, die hard, repeat listeners, join me, maybe the producers will hear and hire back the 15 Earphone and two time Audie Award winning narrator for the series we know and love…
MacLeod Andrews! MacLeod Andrews!!MacLeod Andrews!!!

Not a fan of the narration

Don't get me wrong, there are worst narrators out there and this guy didn't do too bad. I just wasn't sold on some of the voices for the characters. I guess im just used to Macleod Andrews' voices. Kirby made Jayfeather sound like this big, strong, noble cat; not the nasaly, ill-tempered, lil shit I know. I guess im just biased.

Wasn't a fan of the narrator.

Voices didn't fit the characters. Some cats felt out of character to me. I was never a fan of Bramblestar to begin with and I found him very annoying in this book. It was nice to have a little filler in between the end of OOTS and VOS.

Not very good

I did not like this book or the voice actor. Nothing against him, but if you are going to have the smell voice actor with 75% of the books, you have to keep using them. The different voices threw me off. The writing was pretty bad too. That water and blood prophecy has to be the worst out of all the Warrior novels. It made no sense. In the previous books, even if they were small one clan prophecies, they came together nicely. Also with all the times that the three chosen cats lost powers were mentioned, you would think they would be part of the plot. But that went nowhere and it became really annoying. I get it, they don't have their powers. There were several continuity errors in this book. I did not like it.

Bridges the gap

Overall i really feel like the plot here was pretty lacking and dull, especially following the dramatic climax of the previous series. Basically just Bramble having a hard time adjusting to being leader despite having been a steller deputy for years?? and being conveniently nearby every time someone's in trouble. but there's some pretty good scenes in there too, as well as character/relationship development. it also bridges the gap between Omen of the Stars and The Fourth Apprentice.

once you finish the book, i highly recommend visiting your local book store to read the manga short in the back of the book. it's really interesting and any warriors fan will love it.

The new narrator is worse

Please return the first narrator, but the story is most interesting. Hope for the narrator)
