Thank Goodness for Ms Abrams' introduction, which gave the book much needed clarity - but then it did disappont as I thought she would be the narrator of her own work.

In the beginning of this thriller the lead character does not one, but three irritatingly stupid things, which surely no one with her lauded brillient legal mind would do - but get past that and this book is interesting and has moments of real tension.

The plot gets overly complex but is definitely a binge worthy book.

The narrator takes a while to get into her stride, but she is excellent with voicing the lead character.

Gripping and well read, this fiction will get you through the most mundane chores (like power washing your deck) in unbelievable time. The plots are maniacal, yet plausible. And will have you praying that our leaders are better than we suspect they are, and strong enough to balance justice and power. This is a definite GO TO Summer 2021 read!
