Having spent a bit of time in the North West Highlands, this book really brings out the flavour of the Highlands and Islands. The people and their ways. I have seen the film B and W many moons ago and to me the book is so much better. The accents of the narrator and pronunciation excellent! overall the story of a wrecked ship filled with Whiskey, and the salvation it brings to the locals fab slangeva ( probably spelt wrong) give it a listen!
