Pleasant enough
White Lies is an okay audiobook but hardly the riveting mystery it could have been. Each of the characters is an unreliable narrator, which makes it hard to choose any one of them to follow and cheer for. There are a couple of unexpected reveals but I'm not sure if any of them is believable. Still, it's a pleasant enough listen while you're doing some other activity, and the narrator's voice is reasonably pleasant although sometimes a bit too strident for my liking.

Best Thriller I've Heard in AGES
I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but this book was exceptional- and I say that as someone who basically only listens to psychological thrillers these days. It's perfect as far as an example of its genre goes. If you're sick of the cliched and hastily written story lines that so often flood the market and are looking for a beautifully written narrative that will ACTUALLY engage you and take you by surprise, you've found it.

Hooked from the start!
I loved it! I was totally hooked right from the start! The narration was great, and the story line was tense and kept me guessing right until the very end!

Kept me interested throughout!
Great gripping story! Every spare minute I got in a day I would try to squeeze in another chapter! My only disappointment is that it was finished too soon! Most of the time I can guess the mystery but this one I was completely in the dark! Great book!

the ending made the book

Keeps you guessing to the very end
Good story told from different characters perspectives. The narration was also well done. I recommend it if you like suspense novels.

Wow-didn’t see the end coming!
Without the ending, this would have been a solid 4 star, but the ending definitely raised it to a 5 star! I questioned what the truth was at each turn...even at the end I thought I knew, but more was revealed in the very end even!!!
