In July 2023, Taylor Swift played a sold-out show in Kansas City, Missouri, on a stop for her record-breaking Eras Tour. Before the show, NFL Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce partook in the fan ritual of making friendship bracelets to share and trade at the concert, but Travis’s bracelet did not have lyrics written on it like the other fans. In 2025, Taylor made her podcast debut to announce the release of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, alongside Travis and his brother, Jason. While Taylor, Travis, and Jason discussed football, music, and sourdough bread, Travis had his garden filled with roses and other flowers so he could surprise Taylor with a proposal! A few weeks later, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. It was a love story, and Taylor said yes!
