He was the first Indigenous judge in Manitoba, and only the second Indigenous judge in Canadian history. I think this book is a must read for all Canadians. To understand how someone can achieve purpose, and make change for a nation, is something we can all learn from. It's proof that we all have greatness within us, we just need to lead with empathy.

This book is a thorough examination of Mr. Sinclair's life experience in Canada reaching back to the 1940s and into the present day. Not only that, it includes extensive research and historical records that describe in very clear and undeniable terms, Canada's treatment of indigenous people since before Confederation. It should be required reading for everyone.

The Honourable Murray Sinclair was a great man who believed "education got us into this mess, and education will get us out."

Do yourself and everyone else a favour: Educate yourself with this book! It's a heavy read, but an important one.
