Description

I wanted to fall for a man. Instead, I fell for a legend...

Jax and Haley’s addictive, emotional rockstar romance trilogy is in one place for the first time! Books 1 and 2 contain cliffhangers that build to book 3’s explosive, unmissable HEA. Immerse yourself in smoldering tension and enthralling romance that promise to leave you “dazed and a little crazed”.

Good Girl (Wicked Number 1):

I wanted to fall for a man. Instead, I fell for a legend...

The month I wrote my first piece of code, Jax Jamieson launched his third platinum album.

The week I drank my first beer, he spent in jail.

The day I got under his skin, I wound up on his tour.

And the night he gave me his hoodie...I fell in love forever.

Bad Girl (Wicked Number 2):

Rockstars don't chase college students.

But Jax Jamieson’s never followed the rules.

I thought I knew Jax's secrets. I was wrong.

When the fans go home and the lights fade to black, it's just me and him and the people we left behind.

I want to escape, until I realize...

We can do a lot in the dark.

Wicked Girl (Wicked Number 3):

He was a legend, until he walked away.

I was nobody, until I was dragged into the light.

I was never supposed to be part of Wicked, but it was always part of me.

Now it's my turn to do something that matters.

Even if the man I love hates me for it.

Jax and Haley’s all-consuming, smoldering, emotional, slow burn love story has sold more than 100,000 copies and “takes rock star romance to a whole new level”. Binge listen the complete Wicked trilogy now!

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this three book compilation and it was a great deal vs buying individually.
I loved the narration, the only complaint was that there was not enough Joe Arden.
Rock Star Story with growth, coding, family issues - it had a lot

Four-starred rock star trilogy

It's been about two years since I last read something from Piper Lawson--NSWF, the second book in her Play trilogy--so I welcomed the opportunity to not just re-acquaint myself with her writing but to listen to my very first audiobook from her, and it's a trilogy to boot! The Wicked audiobook consists of the first three stories in that series by the same name--Good Girl, Bad Girl, and Wicked Girl--and it's about one couple, a twenty-year-old college student and a twenty-eight-year-old rock star, whose lives become entangled in ways neither had ever planned for.

Good Girl is where we meet the cast of characters led by Haley Telfer and Jax Jamieson. She's a student who's co-op program requires her to find a job, and he's the lead singer of Riot Act and her celebrity crush. They end up working together when Haley is tasked to back up the sound engineer on Riot Act's latest tour. Haley and Jax clash, but there's an underlying attraction going on. Bad Girl picks up after Haley walks away from Jax once she learns the secret he's kept from her; Wicked Girl is two years after Jax decides Haley has chosen the man he hates over him.

In terms of the Haley and Jax's story as a whole, I did like the dynamic between them, especially once what they had transcended from Haley mooning over the fact that the man she's been crushing on for years is in such close proximity and may very well have a thing for her, too. One thing I didn't particularly like, however, was how it seemed Haley used sex to...entice Jax to do something. On the other hand, Jax had a bad habit of walking away when things didn't go his way rather than having a discussion and finding alternatives or coming to a compromise.

Story-wise, Good Girl gets 3.5 stars, Bad Girl gets three stars, and Wicked Girl gets four stars. Piper Lawson does an admirable job keeping Jax and Haley's romance going over the span of three books, although the middle--aka book two--section falters a bit. Haley's issues with her estranged father and Jax's own situation with parenthood were my favorite aspects of the story because they're more heartrending. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood perform well over the twelve and a half hours. With 4.5 stars for narration and 3.5 stars for the story, Wicked gets four stars. ♥

Interesting but...

Decent enough “rockstar” romance but it felt a bit too formulaic and had a few logic and storyline disconnects. The most disconcerting for me was skips where major events supposedly happened but now we’re in this part of the story that the author decided to go ahead and write about but now you’ve lost any connection I had to the characters. Cue the LP screech.
Haley’s autistic foibles caught my interest in her character but then the author dropped it. Jax’s legend status caught me but then the author decided he’s only 29. Sorry, not old enough to be legend. Formula hooks that don’t pan out. At least 50 shades mostly delivered.
Having said all that, there is some good writing in there that held my interest to the end. Save your $ by going with this combined book NOT the broken up trilogy.
Arden and Peachwood do a decent job of narration.

My heart.

Dear Piper Lawson, you thru my heart in a food processer and it was shredded; this book has everything, naughty alpha-male-ego, sexy talking, delicious sexy time and a girl with a mission, most of all a heartbreaking romance, where you're second-guessing their love, you even don't see the twist coming and yes... get ready to get gut-punched once or twice.

Wow! Loved Everything About This Series ❤️

The chemistry between the main characters is out of this freaking world!

I felt that the author had the ability to convey true depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.

As for the narration, it's not often that the voices in my head are surpassed, but these 2 hit it out of the park!

More relationship, less rock

An excellent story of finding yourself and following your path in spite of someone else’s desires. I loved their journey to their HEA.

Loved this audible trilogy!

This trilogy was great to listen to - I was skeptical at first since I am a visual person and usually only like reading books, but Joe and Savannah did an awesome job with the narration! The story was funny, sad and sweet, with a little bit of bad boy all mixed in! Definitely recommend!

4.5 Stars

Absolutely love this series. It grabs you from the start and you don’t want to stop listening!!!
It’s a slow burn with little amount of sex scenes.
It’s funny, and heartwarming, with a HEA!
This is my first book by Piper Lawson and I’m definitely want more from this author.
And of course the Narrative was also great. They both were good.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review

A slow burn rockstar romance

This is my first Piper Lawson book and I really enjoyed listening to it. Joe and Savannah were a great cast for this rock star romance. I really like the premise and the writing. The story has a lot of insight and depth of behind the scenes things I don’t read about in romance. It was definitely a slow burn and it took the entire first third of the book (which is book 1 of the series) for the couple’s relationship to develop. I feel like it could be a two parter so that the story would move along. It does drag at parts.

All in all I do enjoy the book and would definitely listen to another one by Piper.
