This book was more serious than the utter adorableness of the first book. Still LOVING the characters and story line! It's so incredibly easy to binge this book series. The author does a great job of getting you emotionally invested.

Rant:
I'm not sure if it was the beginning of this book or the end of the last one, but they just HAD to bring up politics when referring to another author. No matter your view (I have friends and family on both sides) I found it irritatingly unnecessary to add it to this book. That put a huge blemish on a far too many chapters that followed, because I was distracted and so annoyed that the author decided to include the comment.
*Cricket is such a sweetheart and having her harshly diss someone that she doesn't even know was jarring.*

After a while, I was able to get back into the story and still enjoy it overall. It's great that the characters are so freakin' adorable I don't know what to do with myself.

I love that I’m not filled with anxiety and I just get to listen and enjoy. This is my new favorite series! The characters are awesome and the story is great. It’s unique and enjoyable. I wish there were more book series just like this!
