Inspiring from start to finish. I loved Aurora James before knowing her story but Wildflower has given me such a deep appreciation for everything she is especially knowing the hurdles she has plowed through. Everyone should read this book.

Aurora James’ story and incredible journey as a black woman entrepreneur who is changing the world one pair of shoes and one pledge at a time, is a must-read. I didn’t know much about her other than awareness of the 15% pledge. I’ve learned so much and will follow her career to continue learning from her. What an inspiration. She’s truly making a difference, especially for women of colour in Canada, the US and Africa.

This books is for everyone, every walk of life. Aurora talks about her upbringing that strikes so many not just the black community. If you are a woman, girl, father of a girl this book shows how hard work and determination along with the right people will push you far. She talks about her hardship as a child and all the mental setbacks that so many don’t overcome, now she has a multi million dollar business and is an exceptional woman paving the way for change in the world, for minorities all around the world and for black communities back home in Africa and all over the globe. She is paving a way for black families to have what they have always been capable of but lacked opportunity for. As a young woman myself from Caribbean decent , living in Toronto and beginning my journey in the NYC fashion world, you have brought so many smiles along with tears of joy to my eyes during this read. Joy for you, for our community and Joy for a better future in America for me and my black brothers and sisters. Thank you Aurora, you are a phenomenal inspiration.
