Description
Traveler, cleric, witch.
The villagers in the sleepy hamlet of Lychford are divided. A supermarket wants to build a major branch on their border. Some welcome the employment opportunities while some object to the modernization of the local environment.
Judith Mawson (local crank) knows the truth - that Lychford lies on the boundary between two worlds and that the destruction of the border will open wide the gateways to malevolent beings beyond imagination. Compelling Novella
It was a twitter review that sent me this way, and I found this a well crafted story of three contemporary women in a small English town learning to work together to overcome a proposed supermarket development - but this being Paul Cornell there was definitely more to this than a tale of parochial politics, with its swirl of regious angst, grief and the fae. I quickly grew interested in the characters, and will be hunting the next in the series.

Very simplistic
Was disappointed in this story. It was very basic and seems like maybe it was written for children.
