À propos de cet audio
Banished from his village, an archmage enters the mana-dry wastes.
Keiran, millennia old archmage, has managed to successfully control the reincarnation cycle and retain all of his memories and skills. That’s about the only thing that’s gone right. Mana seems to have all but disappeared, and a cabal of mages from a nearby city have been using the villagers of his new home as a mana farm for their own purposes.
How long was Keiran gone? Where did the mana go? Does it have anything to do with the missing moon from the sky or the bizarre loss of the written language from his first life? Why are the best mages on the level of bumbling apprentices? Filled with questions and determined to find answers, Keiran journeys to the city of Derro.
The Wolf Pack rules over the desert city, and if Keiran wants access to the knowledge they hold, he’ll have to fight for it, one bloody step at a time. For all his skill, he’s trapped in the body of a child in a world where mana is as scarce as gold.
Can he overcome a group of mages who’ve had decades to grow their power base, or will the Wolves of the Wastes drag him down and eat him alive?

Fun but not amazing
A good story that has great detail and is quite provocative. My issue is that it is very simple with less progression that I believe is necessary. There is also not much change or challenge to the MC. He is OP and his main challenge is still just the mana desert which I don’t think is quite enough… great writing and detail. Fantastic narration and beautiful set up. Thanks for a good book.

I feel like there was not much of a struggle
I think it needs more conflict. It felt like everything just worked for him. Other than that, it was a pretty good story.

Fun story but very repetitive and slow.
Fun story but very repetitive and slow the author repeats mechanics and events over and over but other than that I love the book.

good not great
the world building element really gets it for me. The character development is fine, i dont love how the protag is infallible, but from the first book it is expected.

Our boy on the spectrum strikes again
Sheldon, as I call him, is once again oblivious to his effect on others and social situations. Obsessed with what he wants, he shows no consideration for how he hurts others. Our MC graces us with lines like "Why does my mother act so distraught when her toddler kills people?" and "Why does this child, who is a preteen, act so immaturely and make childish decisions?"
Sheldon directly causes the deaths of many through his actions throughout the story.
More upset that people see him as a child than he is about causing the deaths of innocent people.
Throughout most of the story, our boy's situation is not so drastic that the risks to himself or others are necessary.
Others have noted that the MC routinely brings up the lack of magic. Yes, Sheldon, we are aware that the world is messed up. We know that you used to be all-powerful, and yes, the youngsters of today are inferior.
I will continue to buy. I enjoy the concept, and will support the series.
